Our AmeriCorps Health Fellows program is a community service and professional development opportunity wrapped into one. This experience enables individuals to connect our patients and communities in need to services to increase access to health care services, health benefits programs, and promote prevention and wellness; while developing skills and exposure to the health care field.
We are recruiting for 20 full-time positions (40 hours/week) and require a one-year commitment to serve a minimum of 1,700 service hours over an 11-month period. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about health equity and social justice, and is considering public health, medicine, social work, and mental/behavioral health for their higher education/career goals. The duration of this program is September 13, 2021 to July 29, 2022.

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions.
Leadership Education for Aspiring Physicians (LEAP) is a project-based seminar series designed for Bay Area premedical students seeking structured leadership development while improving community health and wellness. Successful participants have partnered with peers and community-based institutions or organizations to develop, implement, and evaluate projects aimed at improving health outcomes in a community where they consider themselves to be a member.
